No. Please visit, relax, enjoy, mingle, and get a feel of what this community is like. In your worship guide is a connection card. You can fill that card out if you would like more information about the church. You are invited to visit our welcome area on Sunday mornings to request information, to speak to someone about Good Shepherd's ministries, and to receive a gift as a guest. We want your visit to be warm and inviting, and above all, an opportunity for you to explore.
The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod believes the Biblical teaching that in communion we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in the Biblical teaching of communion, and if you agree with our confession of faith, please feel free to commune with us. If you have any questions, please make an appointment to talk with the pastor. If you have children who have not been instructed in the faith, they may come forward to receive a blessing at the communion rail with their arms crossed over their chest.
A summary of Good's Shepherd belief and practice is provided in the Worship Schedule section of this website.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a congregation that holds to the Bible as the true Word of God, and that is founded upon the Bible as foundation for everything we do and say. It is a Gospel-focused, Christ-centered church that adheres to the basic tenets of traditional Christianity. The congregation is a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and we hold to the great truths of Faith Alone, Grace Alone, Word Alone on account of Christ Alone!
Our goal for worship is to spend time in God's Word through song and praise, expressing respect for God's house in all that we say and do. That said, we have no required attire for service. However, the typical attire for our church is come as you are. Some people dress-up, but most people wear business casual or relaxed wear. We are not here to impress anyone with what you wear. You will notice that the Pastors wear robes and formal wear for Sunday morning. They do that because they are at work and want to bring their A game, just like if you were to visit a doctor or other professional.
An amazing mix of religious backgrounds, cultures, and life-stages are all represented at Good Shepherd. You will meet people who have been a Christian all their life, and some who are brand new. We gather each weekend to explore, grow in, and celebrate the blessing of life through Jesus Christ.
Good Shepherd is Here to Make a Difference Today
We don’t want to be a church that sits on the sidelines and does nothing. We want to be a group of believers who are actively seeking to make a difference in our homes, within our community, and throughout our world.
We want to see people’s lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.
What does that look like?
The addict who finds freedom from the addiction
The couple on the brink of divorce reconciled and together
The family unified and working together
The community serving together to help othersThe body of Christ working together to care for the needy
The church promoting justice and equality
We invite you to join us in making a difference today
